Jill's Blog - My Favorite Stuff and what's happenin' now
Late May and June is THE time to visit visit NAUMKEAG, www.thetrustees.org, a historical mansion in Stockbridge to catch, and I mean catch, the 60 tree peonie terraced garden in full bloom. It only happens once a year!! So many colors, so many blooms, so fragrant. It only lasts a short week!!!
Spring IS arriving in the Berkshires and it is time to get outside in that fresh mountain air. There is a multitude of mountain trails in my backyard with varying terrain, for all levels. Hiked the Hopper yesterday, beautiful!
The Clark Art Institute is Free til June.
Mass MoCA 's current exhibit by Xu Bing features his Phoenix Project, made up of 30' suspended phoenix bird sculptures made of scrap metal. Very amazing!!
Mount Greylock is open!!! Enjoy a scenic mountain drive to the highest point in Massachusetts, a 360 degree view of four states. Check out www.bascomlodge.net for information on festivals and activities. Treat yourself to a great dinner with the most amazing sunset as your backdrop, a most memorable experience.
I highly recommend the relaxing and rejuvenating spa services available at In Touch Day Spa, two miles away.
Call directly for the best rates, I will beat all the travel booking sites.
Hope to see you soon,
Jill
